Ms. Sharon M. Manuel is an Assistant Professor in the University of the Philippines and has many years’ experience as a researcher and consultant to the Asian Development Bank, UN agencies, and the World Health Organization.
Her work has focused on the preparation and evaluation of initial environmental examination and environmental and social impact assessment reports; water quality management; environmental hazard and risk assessment; and special studies on solid and hazardous waste management including mercury and persistent organic pollutants.
Ms. Manuel also has supported studies on the impacts of climate change on health, agriculture and water resources. She holds a masters degree in environmental engineering and bachelors degree in chemical engineering. Ms. Manuel lives in Pampanga, Philippines.
